This year Chennai Open made a comeback to the city. In February, the ATP Challenger 100 Men’s International Tennis Championship took place. And now, the WTA 250 returns too. This also corresponds with the centenary celebrations of the Tamil Nadu Tennis Association. Tennis legends Ramanathan Krishnan and Vijay Amritraj cut a cake to commemorate the occasion. A fashion show and a coffee table book launch were also part of the celebrations that took place at ITC Grand Chola last night. The fashion show by Titan showcased jewellery and clothes by its brands Tanishq, Mia by Tanishq, and Taneira, and even featured tennis players Amina Anshba, Eden Silva, Rutuja Bhosale, and Maria Timofeeva, along with model and author Shvetha Jaishankar who was the show producer.
